Repeating the success of Forest Day 5, Forest Day 6 held another one-hour session of the Issues Marketplace for semi-structured networking and discussions. The Issues Marketplace was an interactive, social event that followed the 'speaker's corner' format, in which the audience was free to move between presenters speaking under each of the themes listed below. The aim was to allow organisations, in addition to members of the Collaborative Partnership on Forests, to have a voice at Forest Day, and to encourage networking among people with common interests.

The Issues Marketplace had six themes:

• Forests on a cultivated planet
• Governance frameworks for REDD+
• National forest monitoring systems for REDD+
• Forest landscape restoration: Enhancing more than carbon stocks
• Financing REDD+: Closing the gap
• Social safeguards: Protecting the territorial rights of indigenous peoples
